Wallace J. Faltinowski

Wallace “Wally” J. Faltinowski, 91, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital.

Born on August 25, 1935, in Ashland, WI, and grew up in Watersmeet, MI. He was the son of the late Wallace and Mildred (Bredeson) Faltinowski. He graduated from Watersmeet High School in 1953, where he played on the Watersmeet Nimrods Basketball team. He then attended Gogebic Community College.

Wally served in the United States Army from May 5, 1955, until he was honorably discharged on April 23, 1957. He served in the 66th CIC in Munich Germany during the Cold War.

He first met his wife, Shirley LaRock at a dance after a high school basketball game and the rest was history. After getting married in Chicago, IL, on June 15, 1963, they eventually put down roots in Kenosha, WI. Shirley preceded Wally in death on November 25, 2023.

Wally worked as a Press Operator for AMC/Chrysler for 30 years before retiring in 1989, and was fortunate to enjoy many wonderful years of retirement.

Shirley and Wally loved to camp with family and friends up in Portage, WI, and upper Michigan. He was an avid Packer, Brewer, and Badger fan, but he still cheered for Michigan Wolverines when they played.

Wally is survived by his loving children, Janet (Chris) Paul, and Michael (Annette) Faltinowski; grandchildren, Tina (James) Warner, Riley and Nick Faltinowski; step-grandchildren, Megan Kramer, Brandon (Nicole) Paul, Ashley Paul, Heather Phillips; and great grandchildren, Millie and James; step-greatgrandchildren, Brogan, Mavis, McKenna, Oaklyn, Parker, Cora, Juniper, and Levi.

A private service will be held for Wallace at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
