A Life Remembered
Obituary
Thomas Scott Moore, age 49, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on August 9, 2026. He was born on June 14, 1977, the son of Garry T. Moore and Carleen (Block) Moore-Simonson. Tom grew up in Kenosha and was a graduate of Tremper High School.
Following high school, Tom began a career as a pressman, a profession that would become a true passion throughout his life. Over the years, he worked for several companies, including Outstanding Graphics, Standard Register, Nosco Printing, Haapanen Brothers, and Quad Graphics. Tom had a natural talent for working with printing presses and machinery of all kinds. His knowledge, dedication, and mechanical ability allowed him to advance in his career and become a Lead Pressman at several of the companies where he worked.
From an early age, Tom had a love for adventure, competition, and the things that brought people together. In his younger years, he was a proud member of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. He developed a lifelong passion for racing, beginning with go-karts as a young boy and continuing throughout his life as an avid fan of NASCAR and IndyCar racing. He was also a proud Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed cheering on his favorite team. Tom also enjoyed attending festivals, listening to music, watching MMA and UFC fights, and, perhaps most importantly, playing darts with his daughters.
Above all else, Tom cherished his family. His daughters held a very special place in his heart, and he treasured the time they spent together. He adored his granddaughters, Willow and Aurora, whom he lovingly called his “Little Ladies.” Tom had an outgoing personality and a warm, playful sense of humor that made it easy for him to connect with others. His giant smile and contagious laugh could light up a room, and he had a remarkable ability to make friends with nearly everyone he met.
Tom also had an especially big heart when it came to animals. Throughout his life, his beloved pets were an important part of his family, including his dog, Sophia, and his cat, Dash. He leaves behind his treasured Savannah cat, Scar, who held a particularly special place in his heart.
Tom is survived by his daughters, Jade Moore and Alexia “Lexi” Moore; granddaughters, Willow and Aurora; mother, Carleen Moore-Simonson; father, Garry Moore; former wife, Dana Moore; and siblings, Joseph (Karri) Moore and Kristy (Chris) Moore. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends who will miss his laughter, friendship, and larger-than-life personality dearly.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marjorie and Charles Block; paternal grandparents, Delores and James Moore; uncle, Billy Moore; aunt and uncle Cheryl and John Frazier; cousin, Matt Frazier; and his beloved cat, Mr. Dash.
A Celebration of Life for Tom will be held at a later date. Details will be announced as arrangements are finalized.
