Samuel Allen Alterson, 36, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026.

Born on March 30, 1990, in Waukegan, IL, he was the son of Gregory Alterson and Elizabeth (Albarran) Alterson.

Samuel had recently discovered a love for art and found joy in reading and exploring new interests. More than anything, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, creating memories and sharing laughter with the people who meant the most to him, especially his nieces and nephews.

He was also a proud Chicago sports fan, with a special place in his heart for the Bears and White Sox. He loved following the games and sharing in the excitement of his favorite teams. He especially enjoyed Fantasy Football and Fantasy Baseball, where his competitive spirit and love of the game could truly shine.

Samuel’s interests were a reflection of his curiosity, his passions, and the simple happiness he found in spending time with the people and things he loved.

He is survived by his parents, Gregory Alterson and Elizabeth Alterson; six siblings, Esteban “Steve” L. (Jennifer) Alterson, Robert “Bobby” Kline, Jason (Heather McCawley) Alterson, Jeremiah (Christina) Alterson, Tabitha (Aaron) Krause, and Ann (Daniel Stamborski) Alterson. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews that he adored and many other special family and friends.

Samuel was preceded in death by his daughter, Maria Allie Alterson.

A visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.
