Ruth Ann Lenfestey

1951 ∼ 2026

Ruth Ann Lenfestey

Passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 75 years. She was born on April 2, 1951, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the daughter of Xaviar and Eunice (Hendrickson) Breigenzer. Ruth grew up in Kenosha and attended area schools.

Ruth devoted 37 years of service to St. Catherine's as a housekeeper. During that same time, she also worked for 14 years at Abbott Laboratories as an Entomologist, a position and accomplishment of which she was extremely proud. Following her retirement from both careers in 2017, Ruth continued to stay active, working part-time as a dishwasher at Daily Dose.

Ruth found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved gardening and took great pride in growing both flowers and vegetables, always striving to keep her home and yard "in bloom." She had a natural talent for interior design and a gift for making any space warm and inviting. Family and friends will fondly remember her homemade pizza, which many considered the very best around.

Above all, Ruth cherished her family. Her home was often the gathering place for Sunday dinners. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother who treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The memories she created with them will be forever cherished.

Ruth is survived by her children, Michelle (Paul) Greb, Jennifer (Thomas) Capponi, Abraham Xaviar Lenfestey, and Waylon (Tara) Lenfestey; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Lorretta Hawley and Mark Breigenzer. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Frank E. Lenfestey, Jr.; sister, Delores Bryant; and former husband, Frank E. Lenfestey. Sr.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026 at Proko Funeral Home. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Proko Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Saint George Cemetery in Kenosha.
