Ralph Riemer

Born on January 30, 1949, in Milwaukee, WI, he was the son of the late Ray and Ethel (Kressin) Riemer. They moved to Kenosha, WI, and Ralph graduated from St. Joseph High School. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Ralph served in the Army National Guard from January of 1970, until he was honorably discharged in May of 1974.

He was employed by Martin Peterson Company. He later was employed as a bus driver with the City of Kenosha’s Transportation Department until his retirement.

Ralph was a lifelong member of Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, the National Guard, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He enjoyed hunting and, most of all, spending time with his granddaughters, always loving and supporting them in whatever endeavors they chose to pursue. He proudly served on behalf of the Kenosha Yacht Club through Civic Affairs.

He is survived by his son, Rob (Lynn) Riemer of Bayfield, WI; stepson, Joe (Jenn) Bieber of Johnstown, CO; stepdaughter, Katrina (Bryan) McGovern of Kenosha, WI; four granddaughters, Ella McGovern of Kenosha, WI, Abby (Ben) Jenks of Racine, WI, Emma and Harlow Bieber both of Johnstown, CO.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brookside Care Center for their wonderful care of Ralph, as well as the staff at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Proko Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
