She was also a devoted parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church, Kenosha. She volunteered her time in various capacities; she organized volunteers from St. Peter Church to make monthly soup kitchen meals for the Kenosha Interfaith Network/Shalom Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Sorensen; grandchildren Tammy Johnson of Indianapolis, IN, Brian (Linda) Sorensen of Kenosha, WI, and Barry (Gloria) Sorensen of Kenosha, WI; four great-grandchildren, Makala Sorensen, Nicholas June, Kyle June, and Keith Sorensen; sister-in-law, Grace Werwie; nieces and nephews Gerald (Debra) Wegner, Michael (Linda) Werwie, Leroy Werwie, Kimberly Plaid, Diane (John) VanDyke, Tim Willems, Mark Willems, Debra (John) Sucarda, Jodi Osgood, David (Melody) Osgood, Steven Irving, David Irving, and Cathy Gill.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Kenosha Place and its’ staff, Dr. Poullette and his staff, Legacy Hospice, and all of you, because you have touched our hearts.
