Nancy Jean Vogelman

Nancy Jean Vogelman, age 92, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026. She was born in Kenosha on November 25, 1933, the daughter of Frank and Esther Johnson Main.

Nancy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She married the love of her life Beryl Vogelman in 1953, and together they raised their two sons. Nancy was a devout member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kenosha, where her faith was an important part of her life.

Nancy was also an avid quilter for more than 40 years. She was a proud member of the Southport Quilters and found great joy not only in quilting, but also in the many friendships and special memories she made through her quilting activities. Her creativity, kindness, and friendships touched many lives.

Nancy is survived by her two sons, Robert Vogelman and his wife, Linda, of Kenosha, and Tom Vogelman of Kenosha; her grandchildren, Scott Vogelman and Amber Peterson Vogelman; and Amber’s husband, Kyle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Beryl; her oldest daughter, Janet Detro, in 1982; her youngest daughter, Diane Dreier in 2006; and her sister, Betty Wollert, in 2002.

Nancy will be remembered for her strong faith, her love of family, her beautiful quilting, and the many friendships she cherished throughout her life. Her quilts and the memories she created with those she loved will remain as lasting reminders of a life filled with love, creativity, and friendship.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial gathering and visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026 at Proko Funeral Home, until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place the same day at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
