Alice M. Werner, 83, of Burlington, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Kenosha on May 25, 1931, the daughter of the late Edwin and Rosella (Schlitz) Johann. Alice was educated in the schools of Kenosha. On June 19, 1949, she married Donald Werner at Friedens Lutheran Church in Kenosha. He preceded her in death in 2006. She was employed with AMC and Chrysler Corp until her retirement. She was a member of the Kenosha Canasta Club and the Kenosha Sewing Club. Alice prided herself as being a working mom and a homemaker. Surviving Alice is her two children, Larry (Wanda) Werner and Connie (Tom) Gildenstern; five grandchildren, Tina, Ed, Jenny, Stacy and Scott; four great-grandchildren, Greg, Alex, Ashley and J.T.; and a sister, Shirley Johnson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Tump; and a brother, Bruce Johann. Visitation will be held for Alice on Monday, March 23rd, at the Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon.
