Hilda M. Rantisi, 51, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie with her family at her side. Born in Amman, Jordan, on December 18, 1962, she was the daughter of Munir and Malakeh (Tannous) Sayegh. She was educated in the schools of Jordan and came to Kenosha in 1991. On April 21, 1991, she married Hanna “John” Rantisi at St. George Orthodox Church in Chicago, IL. Hilda was employed with the Kenosha Unified Schools at Stoker Elementary School working with the visually impaired children. She took great joy in her work and even taught herself to read braille. She was a member of the Christian Orthodox Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening and had a natural hospitality spirit. Survivors include her husband, John Rantisi of Kenosha; three children, David, Roseleen and Daniel Rantisi, all of Kenosha; her mother, Malakeh Sayegh of Amman, Jordan; and her three siblings, Victoria (Francis) Faltas of Jerusalem, Atallah (Gwen) Sayegh of Indianapolis and Salim (Rosette) Sayegh of Winchester, VA. She was preceded in death by her father, Munir Atallah Sayegh. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 29th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
