Elizabeth "Betty" Pellegrino, 85, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Washburn, WI, on September 9, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Lester J. and Anna A. (McAndrews) Lindblad, Sr. After high school she worked for the Navy Civilian Corp in Washington D.C. She was later employed at DuPont in Washburn, Great Lakes Naval Base, Samuel Lowe, and Sears. She moved to Kenosha in 1945 and has resided here since. On February 23, 1946, she married Chester E. Pellegrino at St. James Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2003. Betty was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Her greatest joy in life was loving her family. She was an avid Packer, Cubs, and golf fan. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family. She is survived by her three children, Catherine Pellegrino of Madison, David Pellegrino of Kenosha, and Daniel (Julie) Pellegrino of Kenosha; three grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and cousins, who she loved deeply. Betty was preceded in death by her two sisters, Dorothy Jacobson and Virginia Moran; and her brother, Lester J. Lindblad, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 22nd, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
