Candace McBride, 28, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie surrounded by family and friends. Born in Kenosha on June 9, 1983, she was the daughter of Michael Lockington, Sr. and Mary Ann McBride. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she graduated from Reuther Central High School. Candace was formerly employed with Briese’s Brew and Grill. She enjoyed drawing, writing poems and was very creative. She also enjoyed helping others and spending time with her daughter. Survivors include her daughter, Jocelynne McBride; mother, Mary Ann (Chris) Walker; father, Michael (Sue Kavalauskas) Lockington, Sr.; siblings, Michael (Autumn Weed) Lockington, Jr., Matthew Lockington, Danielle Audi, Michelle Lockington, Kelle Kavalauskas, and Josh Kavalauskas; nieces Jalaina Audi, Chloe Audi, and Lilly Lockington; nephew, Logan Lockington; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Mary McBride; and paternal grandparents, Dale (Lois) Lockington and Jane Lockington. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kyle Audi; uncle, Rick Lockington; and cousins, Melissa Hudson and Wally Whinery. The family would like to thank the caring staff at St. Catherine’s Medical Center ICU and also a special thanks to Dr. Jim Santarelli. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
