Al L. "Big Al" Langford, 70, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 1, 2010, at his residence with his family by his side. Born in Chicago, IL, on March 29, 1940, he was the son of the late Gladys Irvin Langford. He was educated in the schools of Chicago and moved to Kenosha from Wauconda, IL, in 2000. On June 10, 1961, he married Kathe Hausman in Chicago. Al worked as a union lithographer and a salesman with CM & H and Techtron Packaging in Chicago for many years. He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and was also on the dedication committee of the church. He was an avid hunter (especially water fowl), loved woodworking, fudge making, following the Chicago Bears, and coaching youth football in Chicago. Survivors include his wife, Kathe of Pleasant Prairie; two children, Kathie (Wes) Bradford of Kenosha and Jim (Erin) Langford of Kula, HI; four grandchildren, Crosby, Trace, Noah and Lucy; five sisters, Elsie Zornek of Grayslake, IL, Barbara Sechrest of Chicago, Evelyn Pierce of Grayslake, Judy Muhr of Grayslake, and Lynn (Rev. Dr. Wayne) Martin of Burlington, WA; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Pat; and beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Charles, Harold, Don, Bob, William and Ronald; brothers-in-law, Jack, Richard and Bill; and sister-in-law, June. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 5th, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Thursday at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
