My heartfelt sympathies go out to Joan and Katie, and my Chevelles family during this difficult time.I was fortunate enough to be a member of the Chevelles and learn from a great musician how to play better, and I owe all my successes in the music scene to Tom and Gary. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again. Mark Shipman

You were a big part of the musical fabric of Kenosha. We played many of the same venues in town and we shared the energy of the fifties and sixties music and the excitement we felt performing it. You will be sadly missed here but Heaven will welcome a great musician to the Fold. Frank A. Nedry

It was totally unexpected to the message that my long time musical friend had passed awsy. We touched base many times over many years. We thought that one day we would share the stage with one another however it just never happened. Tom would keep me posted with tunes he and his band would record. In fact he did one of our songs and I can say he did a great job. We’d known each other since the mid 70’s via music.Tom was always so happy which was contagious trait. He told me how much he loved his wife and family and how grateful he was for all he had and had done in his life.I’m sorry he’s passed and will miss him.A good person and friend is hard to find in this world.I hope to see you sometime in the future.Keep rocking !Bruce Mattey (bmattey@hotmail.com)
