Carmella V. Rende, 93, of Brookfield, formerly of Kenosha, passed away on December 16, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kenosha on December 27, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Filomena (Sessa) Tenuta. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools. On June 14, 1947, she married Eugene J. “Gene” Rende. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1989. Carmella worked at Bradford High School, Tenuta’s Town House, and the Kenosha Historical Society. Carmella was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Kenosha County Ladies Society, Catholic Women’s Club/Ladies Society of Mount Carmel, and the Mission Society. She really enjoyed reading, cooking, playing cards, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her two children, Linda (Jack) Anick of Brookfield, and Dr. John P. (Sandy) Rende of Kenosha; and two brothers, Emil Tenuta, and Ernie Tenuta both of Kenosha; six grandchildren Stacey Anick, Brian Anick, Christopher Anick, Adam Anick, Michael Rende, and Christina (Tina) Rende; nine great-grandchildren, Ethan, Gianna, Amber, Kiera, Evelyn, Nolan, Hudson, Addison, and Gunnar; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, two brothers, Jack and Frank T. Tenuta; and sisters-in-laws, Joyce Tenuta, Jean Tenuta, and Julia Tenuta.
