Micheline “Michou” Hujik, 77, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Froedtert South-St. Catherine’s Medical Center Campus surrounded by her loving family. Born in Vichy, France, on April 9, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Rosie Korman. On June 15, 1962, she married Charles Hujik in La Baule, France and moved to Kenosha shortly after. Michou was employed as a French teacher with Kemper Hall and then with the Kenosha Unified School System, first with Lincoln Junior High School and then at Mary D. Bradford High School. After her retirement she continued to tutor and substitute teach whenever she was needed. She volunteered as a driver for seniors and also, as a seven-and-a-half-year pancreatic cancer survivor, would volunteer at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee counseling other cancer patients. Survivors include her husband, Charles Hujik of Kenosha; two children, Marc (Terri) Hujik of Kenosha and Natalie Kinsch of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Eric Lonchambon of France; a “soeur”, Claudie Dehoey of France; and five grandchildren, Alexa Hujik, Tyler Hujik, Sydney Hujik, Jade Kinsch and Jett Kinsch. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6th, at Proko Funeral Home from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Pancreatic Cancer Research at Froedtert Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit & Sign Michou’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

Condolences

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please find comfort in God's sure promise of a resurrection as set forth in the Bible. (Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29) Those who are raised to life will have the prospect of never again being subject to misery, sickness, or death. (Revelation 21:4) I hope that reflecting on these thoughts will give you some relief during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry to hear of Madame's death. I was one of her students at Kemper Hall. I have fond memories of her class, and though my French was rather terrible, she always encouraged me to keep trying. My condolences to her family.
