Josephine Llanas, 84, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lockhart, TX, on February 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Seferino and Concepcion (Hernandez) Martinez. In March of 1957 she married Juan Llanas in Texas. They moved to Kenosha after marriage. Josephine was employed for over 20 years in food service at Great Lakes Naval Base. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church where she was very active with the Christian Women’s Group and as a Eucharistic Minister. She also loved gardening and raising and caring for her family. Surviving her is her husband, Juan Llanas of Kenosha; four children, Alex Llanas, Gloria Llanas, Diane Llanas and Patricia (Troy) Altergott, all of Kenosha; three grandchildren, Alex Llanas, Jr., Hannah Altergott, and Aiden Llanas; and nine brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by a son, John Michael Llanas; and a sister, Guadalupe Llanas.
