Obituary

Roger J. Manlick, 92, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2017, at ManorCare in Kenosha. Born in Auburndale, WI, on September 26, 1924, he was the son of the late Louis and Anna (Knier) Manlick. He grew up on a farm in Auburndale, the youngest of six. In 1954 he moved from Illinois to Kenosha to make his home. Roger was united in marriage on July 15, 1948 to Beatrice McCormack in Cary, IL. For over 34 years he was employed as a carpenter for Jenkins & Boller Construction Co./Camosy Construction. He was also a proud member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 250 of Illinois. After his retirement in 1986, Roger continued his passion of woodworking. He also enjoyed hunting and ice fishing. He and Beatrice loved to travel and spent the winters in Mission, TX. Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Beatrice of Kenosha; his five children, Katherine Hagood of Minot, ND, Cynthia (Jeff) Smith of Mondovi, WI, Deborah (Mike) Lampada of Kenosha, WI, Constance Lallaman of Minot, ND, and Susan (Leonard) Thompson of Kenosha; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his brother, Walter Manlick; and sisters, (Margaret) Sr. Paul Marie Manlick, Elenor Goldbach, Esther Schrimpf, and Alice Franz.
