Edward E. Krueger, Sr., 86, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 1, 2014, at his residence, Home Inspired Assisted Living. Born in Wausau, WI, on September 19, 1927, he was the son of the late Otto and Mary (Halava) Krueger. Ed served in the United States Air Force until he was honorably discharged. He moved to Kenosha and was employed by American Motors until he retired on April 1, 1982. In 1960 he married Ertis “Pat” Patterson. She preceded him in death on May 25, 2003. He was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church. He loved fixing lawnmowers, scrapping aluminum and country music. Ed is survived by his son, Ed (Marcia) Krueger, Jr. of Kenosha; five grandchildren; and the nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his step-son, Tony Patterson; six brothers, Harvey, Les, Herb, Paul, Marvin and Clarence; and seven sisters, Norma, Ester, Dora, Dorthy, Margaret, Mildred and June. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5th, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
