Ruth F. Kuntz, 86, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha, WI. Ruth was born on March 14, 1926, in Trout Creek, MI, the daughter of the late Werner and Hilja (Jyvala) Kallio and was educated in Michigan. On August 12, 1950, she married Stanley R. Kuntz in Stambaugh, MI; in 1964 they moved to Kenosha to make their home. She had been employed by Dynamatic, U.S. Draft Board and later worked as a Statistics Analyst at Great Lakes Naval Base retiring in 1974. A member of First United Methodist Church, Past President of UMW and JUS, she remained chairman and volunteer. She served as a Past President of White Shrine Auxiliary and also the State of Wisconsin White Shrine Association. Ruth was "PWHP" at Faith Shrine Milwaukee, a member of the Kenosha Woman’s Club, and a member of OES #92 Kenosha Chapter. Surviving is her loving husband of 62 years, Stanley; two sons, James (Mary) Dersnah of Kenosha and William (Gail) Dersnah of Townsend, WI; a brother, Paul (Eileen) Kallio of Jackson, MI; a sister, Gertrude Leaf of Marquette, MI; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Kallio; and sister, Dorothy Maki. Ruth will be greatly missed by family and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 14th, at the First United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
