Thomas John Miller
Thomas John Miller, 48, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. Born on April 7, 1963, in Kenosha, he was the son of Melvin and Sippie (Tolsma) Miller. He attended the local schools in Paddock Lake and graduated from Central High School. On December 3, 1994, he married Vida Cole in Salem. For the next seven years they lived in Africa. After that they moved to Madison where they were currently residing. Thomas volunteered for the Peace Corp for two years. He worked as a carpenter at various locations for many years. He is survived by his wife, Vida; parents, Melvin and Sippie Miller of Bristol; four sons, Matthew, Kevin, Brian, and Melvin of Madison; one stepson, Maxwell Yankson of Burlington, WI; a brother, Rick Miller of Kansasville, WI; a sister, Susan Nitschneider of Salem; and one step granddaughter, Leilan Yankson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22nd, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
