Carol, our thoughts are with you and your children, I won't pretend to know how you feel, but the love you both shared is something to be cherished and carried in your heart and memory. This I do know, is that Pete will be looking down and taking care of you and the kids from heaven.

I am saddened by the loss of my friend "Mr. Pete." I was lucky enough to get to know Pete while he was a "stay at home Dad" and fighting the hardest battle of his life. I am glad I was able to spend time with Pete and get to know him. He had the most amazing outlook on life. My daughter Jessica loved her "Mr. Pete" and thought he was the funniest man on the planet. He made her laugh until she "peed her pants." She always came home from the Cooney's house with stories about "Mr. Pete" and his funny faces, and silly jokes. We are fortunate to have known and spent time with Pete. We miss you!!!!!!
