1927 ∼ 2011

Nick Lupia
Nick S. Lupia, 84, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Hospice House. He was born in Kenosha on June 16, 1927, the son of the late Nicola and Betty (Poerio) Lupia. Nick was employed as a mechanic, by the Ford Dealership in Kenosha until 1976. He was later employed as an inspector by Tri Clover until his retirement in 1989. He attended Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was a former member of the Roma Lodge in Racine. Nick enjoyed pheasant and deer hunting, repairing things around the house, and riding his John Deere Tractor. He loved gardening and was very proud of his produce. He trained his own hunting dogs and he also tied fishing flies. Nick is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Pleasant Prairie; and his two children, Nick J. Lupia and Kathy Lupia, both of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marian Aikens. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Doctors Milosevic and Jarzembowski for their compassionate care. The family is also grateful to St. Catherine’s CCU, the staff at the dialysis center, and Hospice Alliance for their wonderful care. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 23rd, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held on Thursday, at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter’s Catholic Church or Hospice Alliance would be greatly appreciated by the family.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Nick’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com
