I too, like many of my Abbott colleagues have known and worked with Mel for 15-20 years. What is unique is that more than 90% of the relationship was over the phone. When you can develop a relationship that special over the phone it demonstrated the strength of her soul and the depth of her caring. Aside from the chance meetings we would have at an Abbott sales meeting, I had the pleasure of attending the Bermuda Presidents Club with her. Being able to spend that many days in a row with her was a memory I will never forget. She used to laugh afterwards about the crazy "red shorts" the men had to wear at the banquet that year, it was a hoot. I have already missed her before her passing due to her illness and not being in touch, even more so now. Her family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I will miss Melody personally and professionally. For fourteen years, she supported my Abbott Field Sales efforts on many levels ensuring my successes. Her fiesty spirit, zest for life and contagious personality touched anyone who came in her contact. I pray for your family at this very difficult time. She was truly a very, very special Lady.

I worked with Melodie for almost 30 years at Abbott. She was one of my favorite people that I met at Abbott. She had a committment to not only getting the job done but also in mentoring new people like myself. She cared a great deal about the business but more importantly had a strong personal side that made her very enjoyable to work with. She had a committment to doing the right thing regardless of the consequences. She was well respected and will be missed as a business partner and a human being. Her family should be very proud of her professional accomplishments.I give my deepest sympathy to her family and friends. She was very special.

I have known Melody Miller for the past 19 years and she has always been the BEST at what she did. She was extremely kind and courteous to all of her sales reps and she will be missed greatly! We, at Abbott, all loved her dearly. I remember she would ask me for pictures of my family so she could put them up in her office. She really cared about you and your family life. The family of Melody Miller will be in our thoughts and prayers during this time. Just know that she was loved by all! A truly amazing woman!
