Dorothy Valatte Wember, 75, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center. She was born on August 28, 1935, in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late Cecil and Marion (Smith) Conn. In 1950, Dorothy married Joseph Wember, Jr. He preceded her in death in 1999. She loved sewing and knitting. She also enjoyed reading, baking and cooking. She is survived by her eight children, Joseph R. Wember of Kenosha, Gary W. Wember of Kenosha, Randy (Kathy) Wember of Michigan, Rodney (Karen) Wember of Salem, Robert Wember of Kenosha, Nancy Wember of Pleasant Prairie, Kathy Tomaszewski of Kenosha and Ted (Vicki) Wember of Salem; three brothers, James Conn of Texas, Richard (JoAnne) Conn of Florida and Tom (Mary) Conn of Gurnee, IL; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Robert "Joker" Conn; her granddaughter, Rebecca; her great-grandson, Nicholas Olsen; and a sister-in-law, Yvonne Wember. I am very sorry to here of your loss. I did not get chance to know her as much as I would of liked to. The times I did talk to her left a memory of how nice a person can be. I wish the family well this holiday season. June's son.
