Dolores M. FLINT
Dolores M. Flint, 81, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010, at her residence. Born on June 20, 1929, in Mauston, WI, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Niles) Bires. She was educated in the schools of Mauston and came to Kenosha in 1955. On November 1, 1955, she married Robert R. Flint in Allamakee, IA. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2001. Dolores worked as a retail clerk for many years. She also owned and operated Flint’s Inn with her husband until 1993. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Women of the Moose, and the Retail Clerks Club. She enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, entertaining, and spending time with her great-grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Rodney of Kenosha and Robert P. (Carol) of Albuquerque, NM; a daughter, Janice (Robert) Jackson of Kenosha; a brother, Glenn (Mary Ella) Bires of Mauston; five sisters, Bonnie Kranz of Mauston, Lillian Sciortino of Kenosha, Carol Pelton of Janesville, Joyce (Dennis) Skaer of Mauston, and Elaine Synder of Janesville; five grandchildren, Keith (Shelly) Jackson, Kristen (Mark) Schoeni, Karen (Russell) Evans, Jim (Monica) Flint, and Rachel Wilson; and eight great-grandchildren, Nicole, Wylie and Ryan Jackson, Andrew and Tyler Wilson, Benjamin and Katharine Schoeni, and Delila Flint. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abby Wilson, and a sister, Anna Mae Robinson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 13th, at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Dolores was truly one of the most vivacious women we have had the honor to know. She was always cheerful and was so giving. Her house at Christmas was truly an amazing site. It was our pleasure to know her. She will be greatly missed by all of those who she touched during her lifetime.
