Marlyn A. Hestetune, 70, of Kenosha, passed away Tuesday, March 10th, 2009, at Aurora Medical Center. Born on August 31, 1938, in Soldiers Grove, WI, he was a son of the late Isaac and Mildred (Sharp) Hestetune. After residing in Burlington earlier in life, he has been a resident of Kenosha for the last 22 years. Marlyn married Donna (Kneeland) Anderson in 1993 in Las Vegas, NV. Marlyn worked for AMC/Chrysler for 30 years; then became a consultant, for 10 years, last working for Morrison-Knutson, before retiring. Above all of his hobbies, hunting and especially fishing were right at the very top. He was a past president of the Kenosha Sportfishing Club. He was also a longtime member of the Burlington Conservation Club. Marlyn liked to watch NASCAR and he once owned and raced his own stock car in the late 50’s and early 60’s. He particularly enjoyed the time he spent with all of his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Donna; five children, Marlon (Jeanette) Hestetune of Menomonee Falls, Kelli (Jeremy) Brown of Israel, Kurt (Jody) Anderson of Racine, Kathy (Gary) Tallman of Minocqua, and Kent Anderson of Kenosha; a brother, Laurel (Darlene) Hestetune of Soldiers Grove; and his grandchildren, Danielle, Mitchell, Stephanie, Noah, Gareth, Isabelle, Jonah, Holli, Morgan, and Keegan. He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21st, at the Proko Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will take place on Saturday at Proko Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Our hearts and prayers are with the friends and family of Marlyn. He will surely be missed by all of his friends at the Burlington Conservation Club. We are very fortunate to have been able to spend time with Marlyn at the Club as well as in South Dakota. He always brightened any room he was in. He will always remain in our hearts!
