Helen L. Jackson, 77, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, August 2nd, 2007, at Woodstock Nursing Home. Born on April 1, 1930, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Bessie (Prikopia) Polhemus. She moved to Milwaukee in 1953, and then returned back to Kenosha in 1992. She received her education in local schools. Helen was employed in the laundry room at Columbia Hospital in Milwaukee, until her retirement in 1991. She was an avid sports fan and liked the Cubs and the Packers. Helen enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her two brothers, Melvin Englisbe of South Carolina and Walter Polhemus of California; a sister, June Luitze of Marinette, WI; five nieces, Denise (David) Woodstock of Paddock Lake, Annette (Jeff) Feivor of Paris, Tina Becker of Alaska, Jackie Luitze of California, and Janet (Joe) Duncan of Tennessee; three nephews, Vernon (Tammy) Luitze of Pleasant Prairie, Louie (Carol) Luitze of Crivitz, WI, and Chris (Lori) Luitze of Marinette, WI; and many great nieces and great nephews, including a special great niece, Vanessa Becker of Alaska. She will be sadly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Polhemus, and niece, Mary Thompson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
