Christine M. Lewis, 57, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, May 17th, 2007, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Born on April 17, 1950, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of Anthony L. "Tony" and Patricia Ann (McAllister) Ritacca. She was a life long resident of Kenosha, attended Holy Rosary Grade School, and was a 1968 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. She received an Associates Degree from Gateway Technical College, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Concordia University with a Bachelors Degree in Business. She was employed as a Program Analyst for the Dept. of Defense at the Great Lakes Naval Base for the past 26 years. Christine loved her family. Her passion was Genealogy. Through her research, Christine traced the family line back to Samuel Ralston, a patriot in the American Revolution. It was a discovery of which she was very proud. She was a member of a multitude of different genealogical societies, most prominently, the Newberry Library, in Chicago, and the American Genealogical Society. She enjoyed quilting, and was the past vice-president of the Kenosha Quilters Guild, past vice-president of the ASMC (American Society of Military Comptrollers, Chicago, North Shore Chapter). She was also a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. She is survived by her son, Sean P. Lewis of Chicago; her mother, Patricia A. Ritacca of Kenosha; a brother, Joe (Jan) Ritacca of Perth, Australia; three sisters, Diane M. (Tom) Donais of Pleasant Prairie, and Joanne "Jodi" (Greg) Ritacca-Carlini and Carol R. (Mark Cavaleri) Ritacca, both of Woodbury, MN; her godmother, Vita (Hank) Ritacca-Strobbe; nieces and nephews, Morwenna, Josh and Ben Ritacca, Christina, Joe Carlini, Patti, Lizz, Micah, and Aaron Cavaleri, Amy, Michael, and Christopher Sainski, Christine, Jason, and Ted Doherty, Tom and Kim Lewis, and Cari Anger; special friends, Wendy Vincent and her son Antonio, Michael Wynn, Katie Doherty, and Becky Flugg; and special helper, Justin Lippert. She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony L. "Tony" Ritacca. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 24th, from St. Anne Catholic Church in Pleasant Prairie at 7:00 pm. Interment to be private at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening at St. Anne Catholic Church from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.
