Susan E. Smith-Delaney, 43, of Kenosha, was called into the loving arms of our Lord on Friday, September 22nd, 2006. She was born on December 17, 1962, at St. Catherine's Hospital in Kenosha, the daughter of Robert G. Smith and Mary Ann Tully-Smith. She had married Eric Delaney in Las Vegas. They later divorced. She held a cosmetology and mixology license in both Kenosha and Racine. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming a phlebotomist. Her finest work hours were spent in the Pediatric and ER departments of the original St. Catherine’s Hospital. Sue was an excellent cook and enjoyed fishing, pottery, dancing, and the feeling of the wind through her hair when riding on a Harley. She was also a lover of animals. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her beloved nieces, Danielle and Breanna. They had meant the world to her. She is survived by her father, Robert G. Smith of Racine; her mother, Mary Ann Tully-Smith of Kenosha; a sister, Debbie Smith-Ricchio, and brother-in-law, Romano Ricchio of Kenosha; the two loves of her life, nieces, Danielle and Breanna Ricchio of Kenosha; and many cousin, aunts, uncles and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Jean Smith, and Robert and Ann Tully; great aunt, Mona Tully; and uncle, Barclay Smith. Family and friends can pay tribute to Sue at Proko Funeral home on Wednesday, September, 27th, 2006, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. There will be a private burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated as to set up a memorial for the illnesses she suffered.Auntie SueEver since we've known you, you have touched our hearts with love, care, and kindness. All we can do now is repay you with our love and affection. We have always loved you and we always will! You will always be in our hearts. We will pray for you always! I knew Sue since Harvey Elementary School and the old northside neighborhood. We had a lot of good times when we were kids at school. I remember sleepovers at her house with a bunch of girls. Life was so easy then. I was very sad to hear the news of her passing. I ran into her from time to time over the years. She will always be remembered as that beautiful giggly girl with the dimples. I know what a difficult time this is for all of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Keep the faith. Jennifer

Words cant describe the hurt I have for the loss of my aunt suzie, I still called her aunt sue, since I first met her when she dated my uncle years ago when I was very young, she treated me like her own family, and I truley loved her, I had a bond w/ her that was so wonderful!!! When I'd see her here and there, and sometimes I wouldnt see her for years, and when I did we'd hug and talk, it felt like we were never apart..I love you aunt sue always and forever!! xoxoxoxI will miss your beautiful smile, it will be in my heart forever!!
