Clarence E. Mitchell, 84, of Livonia, MI, formerly of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday, March 22nd, 2006, at his residence in Livonia. Born in Kenosha on August 17, 1921, he was the son of the late Clarence and Hazel (Arnold) Mitchell. He received his education in Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. He moved to Livonia in 1969 to make his home. He was in the United States Army Air Corp. during World War II. He entered the service on December 23, 1943, and was honorably discharged on October 25, 1945. He was a Flight Officer. On June 23, 1943, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kenosha, he married Grace O. Madsen. She passed away April 23, 2004. He had formerly been employed as a machinist for Snap-On Tools, VR Wesson Co. in Waukegan, and Adamis Carbide in Livonia, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Kenosha Masonic Lodge. Surviving are a son, Kenneth E. (Charlotte) Mitchell of Kenosha; a daughter, Pamela A. (James) Holman of Westland, MI; a sister, Dorothea (Gordon) Smith of Richmond, CA; a brother, Walter (Carol) Mitchell of Kenosha; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary L. Mitchell. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 27th, from Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
