Lorraine Landre, 77, of Kenosha, passed away Tuesday, March 21st, 2006, at Kenosha Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born on August 7, 1928, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Seibel) Groh. She moved to Kenosha as an infant and received her education in Kenosha and Racine, graduating from Park High School. She moved to Land O'Lakes, WI, in 1991, and then returned to Kenosha in 2003. On April 9, 1948, she married William Landre at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Racine. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1998. She had been employed as a clerk at Walgreen's for 23 years, retiring in 1991. She had been a member of St. Mark's and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kenosha for many years, and most recently a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Lorraine was active in CCD and as a Eucharistic minister from its beginning. She was the secretary of the Senior Citizen's of Land O' Lakes and helped with the food pantry. She was very involved at St. Albert's Church of Land O' Lakes, from helping with funeral dinners to taking care of flowers for the altar. She was past president, for 12 years, of St. Ann Altar Society of St. Albert's. Lorraine enjoyed baking, crocheting and needlework. She is survived by seven sons, Christopher of Kenosha, Thomas (June) of Milwaukee, James (Deborah) of Kenosha, Donald (Lynn) of Janesville, Paul of Kenosha, David of Madison, and Joseph (Susan) of Kenosha; three daughters, Judith (J.R.) Ramos of Peachtree City, GA, Susan Schumacher of Kenosha, and Nancy (Charles) DuBois of Kenosha; 21 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Donald Harvey, and a sister, Dorothea Valley. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 24th, at St. Therese Catholic Church at 11:00 am. Interment will be private. I am so sorry that I didn't know about your mom's passing. I remember well all the wonderful family times we all had together with your mom and dad and I miss them.
