Earl Whitrock, 83, of Somers died Wednesday (September 15th, 2004) at Washington Manor Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Nekoosa on Sept. 4, 1921, he was the son of the late Alvin and Louise (Marceau) Whitrock. He was educated in the schools of Wisconsin Rapids. He moved to Chicago and later to Somers in 1961. He married Cleo Rivers. She died in 1959. On June 16, 1962, he married Joyce Rieschl in Somers. For 10 years he worked at Continental Can Company in Chicago. He later worked at American Motors Corp., retiring in 1982 after 20 years of service. He was a member of Moose Lodge 286, and a Somers constable. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and dancing. Survivors include his wife of Somers; three sons, Jim and Gary (Patty) Whitrock, both of Kenosha, and David (Bonnie Hagood) Whitrock of Friendship; nine daughters, Linda (Robert) Nass of Kentucky, Sheryl (Tom Neu) Peters of Kenosha, Jean Sandberg of Mondovi, Kathy (Tom) Smith of Kenosha, Beverly Rieschl of Kenosha, Susan (Frank) Woynilko of Fallbrook, CA, Joyce Rieschl of Rio Rancho, NM, LuAnn Rieschl of Kenosha, and Julie (Terry) Johnson of Winchester, KY; 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Preceding him in death were two sons, Michael Whitrock and James Rieschl; a daughter, Mary Lou Allen; six sisters; four brothers; and one granddaughter, Connie Gandia. Proko Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.WHITROCK: Funeral services for Mr. Earl Whitrock will be held on Saturday, September 18th, at Proko Funeral Home and Crematory, 5111-60th St., at 11:00 AM.
