Dorothy Montemurro

Dorothy M. Montemurro, 97, was called to heaven on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Robin Way Senior Living in Kenosha.

She was born in Kenosha on October 4, 1928, to the late Matthias and Adeline (Greenwald) Herrmann. She was educated in local schools. On June 28, 1947, she married Michael R. Montemurro at St. George Catholic Church in Kenosha, WI. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2015.

She was employed by American Motors and Chrysler until her retirement. A strong woman of faith, she was lifelong member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

She is survived by six children, Kathleen (Jeff Siemion) Moddes, Gerald (Nancy) Montemurro, Diane (Joseph) Leonardi, Ron (Mariruth) Montemurro, Mary Jo (Rocco) LaMacchia, and Mathias (Patricia) Montemurro; daughter-in-law, Jean Montemurro, 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by her son, Michael F. Montemurro; great-grandson, Jack Andrew Weber; and two brothers, Matthias Herrmann and Francis Herrmann.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224-45th Street, Kenosha, WI, 53140 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Please allow extra time for construction traffic.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Saint Joseph Catholic Academy or Hospice Alliance would be appreciated by the family.
