Donna A. Preston

Donna A. Preston, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Azura Memory Care, Oak Creek, WI at the age of 84.

Donna was born on June 29, 1942, the daughter of the late Charles and Inga (Satre) Shaw in Evanston, IL.

Donna married Joseph Preston and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1996.

Donna worked as a Cashier Supervisor in the grocery business for many years, which she took pride in. Her legacy, however, was in obtaining her daycare licensure which allowed her to care for her four grandchildren while her daughter worked. She enjoyed dining out and going to the casino. Donna loved to dance and she was a go-go dancer in the 1960’s. She and her daughter, Lisa, had an unbreakable bond; Lisa was proud to be able to care for her mom for the past several years. Donna was a strong-willed, determined and always forgiving woman, who never crossed anyone. She will be deeply missed by those she held close.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Wayne) McKee; grandchildren, Justin (Fey), Brandon, Jordan, Kaden, Landen, Ryan, and Amber; and great-grandchildren, Marshall and Violet.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Allison Preston; her son Joseph Preston; and siblings, David in infancy, Sandy and Dolores.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Proko Funeral Home with chapel services and entombment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park, Somers, WI.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, in her memory.
