A Life Remembered

Obituary

Bruno M Rizzo, 81 years old, of Twin Lakes, WI, (Naples, FL) was called to his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Born March 30, 1945, in Milwaukee, WI, he was the cherished son of the late Joseph J. and Rita Rizzo.

Bruno earned his bachelor’s degree from Notre Dame University and later his Juris Doctorate from Marquette University. Bruno proudly served his country in the U S Armed forces until he was honorably discharged in 1971.

On 12/12 (at 12:00 noon) 1970, he married the love of his life, Alice Notar, beginning a beautiful 56-year adventure of love, faith, travel and family. Bruno founded the law firm Rizzo & Diersen, S.C., where he had great fulfillment in serving and representing clients in Southeastern Wisconsin. He was involved with his church, Bible studies, business, local government, and cheered on Notre Dame and Packers football. Bruno’s presence was bigger than life and a voice that sang out with gusto. World travelled with his wife, Bruno truly never met a stranger. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and laughter that will never be forgotten.

Bruno is survived by his loving wife, Alice Rizzo; three adoring children who carry his faith forward, Nicole L. Rizzo, (Charlie Skendziel), Paul J. Rizzo, and Phillip B. Rizzo; and nine precious grandchildren who were his absolute pride and joy: Zoe, Max, Alexander, Harrison, Elliott, Dominic, Sarah, John, and Brady, and two sisters: Irene Ouimet and Nicky Buss. He also had a myriad of nieces and nephews that he treasured dearly.

A memorial gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 am. to 12:00 pm., with a Celebration of Life service 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to his favorite African Mission, AHADI Empowerment at https://ahadiacademy.org/ or the Alzheimer’s Association, at https://www.alz.org/flgulfcoast, would be deeply appreciated by the family as they honor his memory.

Alice & Family Some 10 years ago we were searching a rental in Foxfire. We had the good fortune to discover 904 Kings Way. As much as we enjoyed our time there we were blessed to develop a relationship with the owners. We so appreciated the fact that we became more than tenants but good friends. Among our many fond memories of Bruno his fair treatment of us stands out during COVID. We were to depart Florida mid-April but New York was more severely locked down and Bruno said stay as long as you like and did not charge us a penny to stay until memorial Day— just one small example of the Christian man’s generosity. He will be missed and may he enjoy his next journey.

dear Alice and family, So many memories to cherish from the many expeiences we all had together. One of my fondest is whenever Bruno and I were involved in something we needed help with he would say "wait I know a guy" and someone would be there.More importantly he knew the big Guy and now gets to meet him face to face.I wish I was there to hear that first greeting. God Bless

I was found by this extraordinary man late in life. He made believing in the Lord contagious fun and when vision in my right eye was deemed a loss after surgery he and his wife prayed holding me. I just tolerated that until the next day when I could see a little bit again. Today I see 20/20 out of that eye. The eye doctor could not believe it. Bruno and his wonderful wife have helped so many like me. I thank God for them all the time. I could believe after that. Bigger gift than the eye!
