Obituary for Virginia R. Ermert (Glass)
On Sunday, March 11, 2018, Virginia Ruth (Glass) Ermert passed away peacefully in the home of her daughter. Virginia was born on August 21, 1934, to the late Joseph and Anna (Voleska) Glass. She attended school in Kenosha, graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School.
Virginia married the love of her life Wilhelm R. Ermert on November 11, 1961. They raised their family in Camp Lake until she retired from Gander Mountain in 1997 when they moved to Warsaw, MO. Virginia returned to the Kenosha area in 2015 to be closer to her granddaughters.
Virginia was much loved by her family and her presence in their lives will be missed.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Caroline Strauss of Kenosha, and Pauline (Sid) Rogers of Trevor; granddaughters, Holly (Jason Luckhardt) Strauss of Kenosha, and Tana Porter of Trevor; sister, Beatrice Cronce of Kenosha; and sister-in-law, Irene Ermert of Kenosha.
She was proceeded in death by her husband; brothers, Lawrence and Bernard Glass; sisters, Constance Sahagian and Eleanor Mattson; sisters-in-law, Ruth Adam and Marlene Glass; and brothers-in-law, Edwin Mattson, Peter Sahagian, Tom Cronce and Gus Adam.
Thank you to the staff of Hospice Alliance, Dawn, Connie, Diane, Julie and everyone that helped in Virginia’s care. Your compassion and dedication to the care of Virginia was greatly appreciated by the family.
In keeping with Virginia’s wishes, there will not be a service or memorial. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Virginia’s name to Hospice Alliance or Safe Harbor Animal Shelter.
