Obituary for Michael L. "Round Head" Turcotte
Michael L. “Round Head” Turcotte, 77, of Kenosha, passed away unexpected on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at his home.
Born in Antigo, WI, on July 11, 1940, he was the son of the late Merlin and Alice (Zimmer) Turcotte and was educated in local schools. He moved to Kenosha in the 1960’s.
On June 11, 1983, he married Lois Gratiot in Kenosha.
Michael was employed with J.I. Case for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the UAW Local 180, A.B.A.T.E. of Wisconsin, and the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association. He was also very active with the Pike River Rendezvous since its inception, enjoyed making and setting off fireworks as a member of the PGI, and enjoyed spending time hunting and watching NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Turcotte of Kenosha; three children, Arline (Branden) Fischer of Kenosha, Michael (Christine) Turcotte of Racine, and Josef Turcotte of Grafton, WI; and a grandson, Kyler Turcotte of Kenosha.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Turcotte.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16th, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family.
