Obituary for Edward Arents

Edward Arents
Edward N. Arents, 93, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Aurora Medical Center.
Born in Kenosha on July 17, 1924, he was the son of the late Adam and Mary (Herrmann) Arents. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools.
In May of 1943, Ed joined the Army Air Corps and served until his honorable discharge as Staff Sergeant in April of 1946. Following his military duties, Ed went on to receive his Bachelor of Business from UW-Madison.
For 34 years, Ed was employed by Jockey International as Director of Purchasing until his retirement in 1987. He was a member at St. Mark Parish and later, St. Mary Catholic Church, Serra Club of Kenosha, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Survivors include his two nephews, Richard (Peggy) Baron and Carl Krome; five nieces, Pat (David) Bell, Kathy Bell, Donna (Randy) Howell, Sharon (Mike) Peters and their children, and Sandy (Jeff) Hub and their children; grandchildren, Nicole (Mike) Booth, Rachel (Justin) Lemke, Jared (Stacey) Baron, Renata (Kurt) McMillen, Jordan (Ally) Baron, Lauren Bell, Robbie Bell, Jeremiah and Danielle Baron; and his great-grandchildren, Colton and Aubrey Booth, Madelyn McMillen, Finley Baron, Max Bolt, and the two due in March he missed the pleasure of meeting.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie (William) Baron and Lorraine (Edward) Krome; a nephew, Robert Baron; and niece, Mary Krome.
Words cannot even begin to express the amount of gratitude we have towards this man. He stepped in to fill a void in our lives. The countless memories we have of him helping us, being a mentor, and father figure for us, are the ones that will stick with us forever. Love, Donna, Rich, Pat, and Kathy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 9th, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7307-40th Avenue, at 11:30 a.m. with visitation held prior at church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society (http://www.svdpusa.org) would be appreciated by the family.
