Obituary for Anthony Savaglio

Anthony Savaglio
Anthony R. Savaglio, 65, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Kenosha on July 2, 1952, he was the son of the late Dr. Umberto and Evelyn (Savaglio) Savaglio. He moved to Chicago as a young child and was educated at Queen of All Saints Grammar School, Loyola Academy High School, and graduated from Loyola University with a degree in political science.
Anthony was co-owner with his twin brother of Savaglio Brothers, Inc. for 40 years in Chicago. He was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Chicago and was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree. He enjoyed being active in sports in his younger years; lifting weights, golfing, playing football and playing and coaching softball. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his twin brother, Albert (Amy) Savaglio of Pleasant Prairie; a niece, Emma Savaglio of Pleasant Prairie; and his longtime girlfriend, Pat Grass, and her family, of Chicago. He is further survived by numerous cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 14th, at Proko Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 15th, with a prayer service at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
