Marion Modder Pacetti (Spaulding)
Marion C. Modder Pacetti, 94, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 8th, at Brookside Care Center.
Born on June 28, 1923, in Kenosha, WI, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Clara (Smith) Spaulding. She attended local schools. For many years, she worked at Ray Radigan's and Oage Thomsen's restaurants. In 1978 she graduated from Gateway Technical Institute with an Associate Degree in Nursing and was employed at Kenosha Medical Center until her retirement.
Marion was an avid gardener her entire life and one of the founders of the Four Seasons Garden Club and also served as the first President. She became a certified flower show judge for the National Council of Garden Clubs. She was active in community beautification and an early supporter of Chiwaukee Prairie's preservation.
Marion was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her four children, Lee Modder of Milwaukee, Bill Modder (Pat) of Kenosha, Susan Modder (David Krzyston) of Milwaukee, Dave Modder of Twin Lakes; one sister, Grace Houston of Kenosha; and two brothers, Don (June) Spaulding of Racine and Darryl Spaulding of Montgomery, Alabama.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Glenn Spaulding and Bud Spaulding, and husbands, Andrew Modder and Dr. Amadeo “Pat” Pacetti.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 13th, at First United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park will follow. Visitation will be held also on Saturday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
