Obituary for Jeffrey Behmke

Jeffrey Behmke
Jeffrey M. Behmke, 41, of Kenosha, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at his home, after a five-year battle with Adrenocortical Carcinoma.
Born in Milwaukee, WI, on January 2, 1976, he was the son of Ronald and Jean (Maher) Behmke.
On June 14, 2009, he married Rebecca K. Clausen. Together they made Kenosha their home.
Jeff was employed as a Commercial Trucker prior to his illness. After diagnosis, he was active with other ACC families and ACC C.U.R.E., a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Adrenocortical Carcinoma. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his inspiration and perseverance, and for his continued fight to make memories with “my girls.”
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Behmke; daughter, Kaylin Behmke; his parents, Ronald and Jean Behmke; his father and mother-in-law, Gary and Kay Clausen; siblings, Matthew (Beka) Behmke and Laura Schilling; brothers-in-law, Eric (Suzanne) Clausen and Mark Clausen; nieces, Alina, Starla, Anna, and Ella; and a nephew, Andrew. He is further survived by his grandmother, Donna Maher; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Gabriel Behmke.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to his medical team at St. Luke’s Medical Center for being an amazing team and fighting with him side-by-side, and to Dr. Hammer and his staff at the University of Michigan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 29th, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, November 30th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to ACC C.U.R.E can be made in Jeff’s name at https://www.acccure.org/donate.
