Obituary for Louise Elizabeth Loizzo

Louise Elizabeth Loizzo
Louise Elizabeth Loizzo, 100, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Brookside Care Center.
A lifelong resident of Kenosha, Louise was born to the late Peter and Mary (Ziccarelli) Covelli on April 6, 1917. She was educated in local schools.
Louise was employed by Coopers/Jockey, was a housekeeper at Kenosha Memorial Hospital, and later served as a cook for the nuns at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a longtime member there and was part of the Ladies Auxiliary. Louise was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Italian American Club and was a former Mother of the Year. Above all else, she loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are her four children, Frances (Richard) Gregorin of Anchorage, AK, Thomas (Linda) Loizzo of Woodstock, IL, Samuel (Laura) Loizzo of Janesville, WI, and Joseph (Jane) Loizzo of Beaver Dam, WI; a daughter-in-law, Claire Loizzo of Arden, NC; three sisters, Theresa Waller of Kenosha, Ida (Louis) Cenni of Pleasant Prairie, and Yolanda DeLuca of Woodstock, IL; nine grandchildren, Kathryn Mackin, Richard Gregorin, Daniel Loizzo, Dane Loizzo, Amy Hughes, Andy Loizzo, Alison Bohl, Peter Loizzo, and Jessica Loizzo; and 16 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a son, Frederick Loizzo in 1999; three sisters, Rose, Frances, and Minnie; and three brothers, George, Michael, and Joseph.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Louise will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 20th, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Thursday at Proko Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph, 5229 South Park Avenue, Hamburg, NY 14075, would be appreciated by the family.
